APAC "The Assembly"

Asian Pacific American Coalition (APAC),
UCF was founded on the principles of
leadership,
community empowerment, and unity.
This Coalition successfully created
a joint
force which would address the social and
political aspects of the Asian American identity
and would serve as an empowering voice
for Asian American students into the future.
The members now include Asian Student
Association (ASA), Chinese American
Student Association (CASA), Delate Phi
Lambda Sorority, Pi Delta Psi Fraternity,
Filipino Student Association (FSA), Korean
Student Association (KSA), and
Vietnamese
American Student Association (VASA).
On Aug 29th, Asian Pacific American
Student Assembly, an annual event organized
by APAC, showcased all Asian student
organizations on campus and their upcoming
activities. Each organization was responsible
for a program with a slide and a
performance which fi lled the 2-hour variety
show with laugh and hope. Passion,
a 20
year old Filipino-American singer from San
Francisco, was invited to be the guest performance.
Besides the member organizations,
SANGAM – Indian Student Association
at
UCF and SHIFT, the Asian American Ministry
also performed to show their supports.
