The Orlando Taiko Festival 2009 is organized
by Orlando Taiko Dojo, a non-profit organization
found in 1994. The Dojo first started
out with 5 members, but today there are over
80 students and 6 groups. They are Matsuriza,
Matsuriza Jr., Matsuriza S-Team, Ko-Matsuriza
(Youth Team), IACE Taiko Team, and SAKURA
GUMI. The Dojo dedicates in teaching concepts
of “TAIKO DO,” which are Shin (the spirit)” “Gi
(the technique)”, “Tai (the Material),” and “Rei
(Courtesy),” through traditional Japanese Taiko
