Growing up with Ran-Getsu for 24 years, it is extremely sad
for me to say good-bye to what is practically my “home”. Ran-
Getsu was the reason I moved to Orlando.
I was only two years
old when I moved to the center of tourist junction where my father
just started working for the new restaurant in town. At first, we
were only supposed to stay here for two or three years until the
restaurant started to roll. However, I am glad I was able to stay
for another twenty years and watch the community grow with us
over the years.
Ran-Getsu was like my back yard and a community center
for many Japanese people that lived here. Without Ran-Getsu,
many people would never have tasted
first-class sushi or authentic
Shabu-Shabu and Sukiyaki courses directly from Japan.
Practicing with Matsuriza Taiko group would also have never
been possible for
any of us. The Japan Festivals would have
never been, without the previous Obon Festivals held by Ran-
Getsu. Most importantly, I would have never been surrounded by
so many people I am lucky to call
to this day, my family. Ran-Getsu
has always been a part of me and
will forever remain a part of me,
the community, and the people it
touched. Arigatou Ran-Getsu for
the many memories and years fun.
Arigatou and sayounara.
