(ORLANDO, FLORIDA) – The Asian American Chamber of
Commerce (AACC)
announced the election of its six (6) Board Officers
for 2008:
Rebecca “Becky” Szymanski, President;
Glenn Leong,
Internal Vice President;
Victor Alzona, External Vice President;
Christine Ho, Secretary; Roberto Acevedo, Treasurer;
and Agnes
Chau, Sergeant-at-Arms;
In addition to the Board Officers, the AACC
is composed of another six (6) Board Members:
Judi Lebredo, Kathy
Llamas, Diana Faustmann, Joanne Mei Peytremann,
Shally Wong and
Nina Yon.
The AACC’s Lunar New Year Celebration and 2008 Officers
Induction Ceremony
on Sunday, February 17, 2008, at
Ming Court Restaurant, International Drive in Orlando.
The
Ceremony included a lion dance and a Lunar New Year Celebration
dinner.
“We are very excited to introduce our twelve Board Members to the
Asian-American community and to the public at large”, said President
Becky Szymanski. “They all bring to the table a wealth of knowledge,
talent and new ideas. For 2008, we will be emphasizing networking
events, expanded membership opportunities, and additional outreach
to assist all our members and supporters.”
The AACC, which serves the Central Florida community, was
established in 1986. “AACC’s purpose is to foster networking and
business opportunities, to address the unique business needs of its
members, and to promote general visibility of the AACC members,”
said President Szymanski. Membership is open to all individuals,
small
businesses and corporations regardless of ethnic, national,
religious or
other affiliation.
